Because it is in the backside of the building, it stays cool in the summer, but is still warm and comfortable in the winter.
Along with the upgrades listed in the picture captions, we have great carpet throughout the house, new paint in most rooms, painted doors, repainted and repaired doorjambs, and repainted baseboards.

We have great carpet throughout the house, including a fully carpeted living room.

We have new paint, refinished counter tops, and a new tile back splash. Also, we have newer appliances, including a built-in dishwasher.
Having the half bathroom on the main floor has been a nice bonus, especially if we have guests visiting or staying with us. Notable are the brand new paint and new vanity.
